Cup game for the Sonics today and what a battle it was! From the off we tried to break through the oppositions defence to get that key start. There was some lovely play from Jack and George on the wings, winning the ball, passing it forward and tracking back to help when required. William started as striker today and was doing an excellent job, he returned in the second half on the wing and towards the end of the game made some excellent tackles.

Freya and Leighton remained in defence today and their ability to work together, mark players and support each other throughout the whole game was fantastic. Tom as centre mid kept to his task of remaining centre, waiting for the ball and when able making the passes/breaks through and today he did that perfectly, he released some excellent balls to Jake as striker which helped for the goals to be scored. On that note Jake worked really well with Tom today, but what Jake did exceptionally well was use his skill and pace to release some excellent shots on goal, his first goal I still don’t know how he scored with the angle he did, Jake was eager for goals today and worked hard for them with great precision, he managed to get 5 today!

Ben was in goal today and we had worked with him on distribution of the ball and today he shone with his distribution, he made quick decisions and kept with them and he was a massive team player today. Today we for the first time in a while made two players of the week with one for Jakes goals and precision and one for Ben with his distribution of the ball and team ethic. Well done Jake and Ben.
