A very early start for the Dragons this morning with a 9am KO in Ashby.

Firstly a thank you to the parents for getting all the boys there that early. We even beat the opposition there!

It's never an easy game at Ashby. Boggy, long grass and smaller pitch and this showed for the start of the game. We controlled it, almost felt like we were toying with them at times. We had ample opportunities but we just couldn't find the back of the net. We finally found the breakthrough with Lucas but after a few sloppy moments we found ourselves 2-1 down. We continued to control the half and finished 2-2 at half time.

Second half was much of the same, Ash growing in confidence as the half went on. The boys stepped it up and had wave after wave of attack and after a very well taken goal from Theo from outside the box we were leading. The game finished and it was a well faught game. Turned out a good game!

Player of the Match was between Lucas and Broady. Lucas scoring 4 goals and a great work rate and taking the match ball home.

Player of the Match went to Broady. The boy didn't stop as always and gave 100% both going forward and coming back. That midfield position is really suiting him. Really great game for him.
