Today’s away cup game for Bosworth ( 1 hour 18 mins from BOS) had the potential to be a tricky encounter. Div 4 leads turned up with there “A” game and controlled this game from start to finish.
A very physical Muskham tried their hardest to upset today favourites but AFC trusted their football and at times had the opposition chasing shadows. It wasn’t long before “H” hit a 25 yard strike on goal, for there keeper to spill the ball into the back of the net. 0-1 half time.
The second half got underway and AFC continued where they finished off the first half.
Passing the ball across the back line with confidence and bringing the solid midfield into play has now become the norm. With dynamic wingers and forwards causing problems on every attack was very impressive to watch.
Cracking performance from the whole team but special mentions to both centre backs Ollie & Harry for holding the shape of the team together that was closely followed by the ever dependable Tommo in midfield.
However today’s POTM goes to Ollie E. First class defensive performance that was backed up by some impressive driving runs that created opportunities for fellow team members.
Well done all.
