With there confidence high and a winning momentum, AFC men’s team go into todays away fixture itching for another victory.
The game got underway and within 15 mins, Bosie used the advantage of the wind and peppered Kilworths goal with a number of long range shots.
At times AFC really showed maturity in controlling the ball across the back line. With Shawn, Harry, Rue, Charlie and Ollie moving the ball well, gave opening after opening and eventually lead to today’s POTM Rory H banging in the opening goal. 0-1.
Great captain’s performance in leading his side into battle and continued to push hard, tackle hard the eventually lead to his second goal. 0-2 half time.
Second half gets underway and Bosie continue to control the match. Midfields Reuben, Rees, Rue and Alex held the middle of the pitch well. Hard tackles, driving runs and a cracking team spirit was amazing at times.
However, the boys decided to leave the best until last. Ball collected by Shawn at the back was cooley moved up the pitch that found Nat on the right, who in turn delivers a no look flick to Reuben, who steps inside 2 aggressive defenders and slides a pin point pass to “Phil-Lewis Coutinho” who within 3 strides loses his defender and riffles the ball into the roof of the net and gives AFC the 0-3 victory.
Really well done to the whole team and we continue our journey into a quarter final cup game on Sunday 5th Jan.
Merry Xmas everyone and here’s to a cracking second half of the season in 2025.
